The 2025-26 Opening Day rosters for all 23 teams have been posted.
Of the 522 players, 243 (47%) are rookies (over 10 per team), with the St. Thomas Stars leading with 19.
There are 125 players (24%) who have been drafted by Ontario Hockey League teams, including 13 on the LaSalle Vipers roster and 10 with the defending Sutherland Cup champion Chatham Maroons.
483 players are Ontario-born, while 7 are from other provinces, including four from Quebec, two from Nova Scotia and one from the Northwest Territories,
The GOJHL has an international flavour with players from six other countries, including 24 American-born players from 9 states. Michigan is the most-represented state with 9 players, followed by 8 from the state of New York. Iowa, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania are all represented with one player each.
Other countries represented include Finland (2), Ukraine (2), Australia (1), Hungary (1), Russia (1), and United Kingdom (1).
The 2025-26 regular season schedule gets underway tonight when the Vipers host the London Nationals. Game time is 7:00pm at the Vollmer Centre.
