The Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL) is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Michael Villani, Founder & President of Villani Sports Group, who will work alongside the league in the continued growth of its commercial partnerships, corporate sponsorships, and long-term business development initiatives.
Michael Villani brings more than 15 years of executive leadership in sales, marketing, and partnership development, along with a lifelong commitment to the game of hockey. Most recently serving as National Sales Director for Carlsberg Group, Michael led a national sales organization while managing significant multi-year commercial partnerships across retail, hospitality, sports, and entertainment.
His impressive portfolio includes partnership work with premier organizations such as the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Memorial Cup, Toronto FC, and Canada Soccer, providing him with extensive experience in developing meaningful corporate relationships that drive sustainable growth.
Michael’s connection to hockey extends well beyond the business world. A former junior hockey player in both Ontario and Alberta, he remains actively involved in the sport as a coach within the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL), giving him a unique understanding of player development and the hockey community.
