2010: Game 5, Sutherland Cup Final:
Brantford Golden Eagles 2 at LaSalle Vipers 3 (2OT)
DJ Turner scored the championship-winning goal at 15:56 of the 2nd overtime and the Vipers clinched the franchise’s second Sutherland Cup championship in three years. Turner added an assist and had 7 goals and 11 points in the series, both GOHL records for a Sutherland Cup final. He also claimed the league playoff scoring title with 41 points in 26 games
2011: Game 5, Sutherland Cup Final:
Elmira Sugar Kings 4 at Niagara Falls Canucks 0
Josh MacDonald scored two goals and Nick Horrigan made 33 saves for his second shutout of the playoffs and the Sugar Kings clinched their third Sutherland Cup championship. MacDonald’s two goals were his 10th and 11th points of the series, tying the GOHL record for points in a Sutherland Cup final
2022: Game 3, Golden Horseshoe Conference Final
Hamilton Kilty B’s 0 at St. Catharines Falcons 4 (SCF 2-1)
Logan O’Flanaghan (left) scored 3 goals for his only career hat trick and Andrew MacLean made 13 saves for his 4th shutout of the playoffs as the Falcons took the series lead
2023: Game 5, Sutherland Cup Final
Leamington Flyers 3 at Stratford Warriors 4 (LEA 3-2)
Carson Harmer scored the tying goal, and Sheldon Pryce’s (left) 2nd goal of the game with 4:18 left in the third was the game winner as the Warriors forced a Game 6 in the series
2025: Game 3, Sutherland Cup Final
St. Catharines Falcons 3 at Chatham Maroons 7 (CHA 2-1)
Connor Hunt (2G, 2A) (left) and Dylan Richter (1G, 3A) each had 4-point games (video) as the Maroons became the first team in GOHL history to score 7 or more goals in two games of a Sutherland Cup final series
