Perfect Redhawks remain #1, Sugar Kings back at #2 in GOHL Power Rankings

1.  Cambridge Redhawks (21-0-0-0)
Last weekW 6-3 vs Listowel, W 4-2 vs Waterloo
The Redhawks made it 20 straight wins — the 4th longest streak in GOHL history — with the home win over Listowel on Saturday. They surrendered 2 power play goals to the Cyclones — one more than they had given up in their previous 33 penalty kills at the Galt Arena all season.  In Waterloo, the Redhawks found a new way to win.  They surrendered the first 2 goals of the game and trailed after two periods for the first time this season before rallying with 3 unanswered goals in third period goals for their 21st straight win.  Alexander Forrest (Kitchener Rangers, 2025) has 4 assists in his two games since returning to the Redhawks after his participation in the 2025 U17 World Challenge.

2.  Elmira Sugar Kings (16-2-1-0)
Last weekW 5-3 vs #9 Fort Erie
In their only game of the week, Elmira extended their unbeaten streak to 13 games (12-0-1-0).  In their third-ever game against Fort Erie — and first since 2011 — the Sugar Kings outscored the Meteors 2-1 in the first period, improving their scoring margin in the opening frame to 35-7 on the season.  Elmira is now 2-0-1-0 all-time against the Meteors.

3.  Chatham Maroons (17-2-1-2)
Last weekW 2-1 at Hamilton, W 6-2 at #8 St. Thomas, W 10-6 vs Caledonia
In the win over the Kilty B’s, Carter Chadwick scored both goals — including the winner with five minutes left in the third.  The Maroons improved their road record to 9-0-1-0 with the win in St. Thomas.  On Sunday, they extended their overall point streak to 13 games (11-0-1-1) by rallying from 4-1 and 5-2 deficits and handing the Corvairs their 6th straight loss, and marking just the second time the Caledonia/Brantford franchise has allowed 10 goals in a game (10-2 loss to Stratford; Sep.11, 2009).  Veteran Aydan Doyle (Kitchener Rangers, 2021) has 6 assists in 4 games since joining the Maroons and leads all GOHL defencemen with 20 assists this season.

4.  St. Catharines Falcons (16-2-2-0)
Last weekL 3-5 vs London, L 3-4 (OT) at Fort Erie
The Falcons suffered their second regulation loss of the season at the hands of the visiting Nationals in the 6th-ever meeting between the two clubs.  In the OT loss to Fort Erie, the Falcons failed to win a 1-goal game for only the second time in 9 instances (7-0-2-0).

5.  St. Marys Lincolns (14-5-1-0)
Last weekW 7-4 vs Komoka, W 4-0 at Listowel
Devun Colebrook scored his team-leading 4th game winning goal as the Lincolns rebounded from a shutout loss to Waterloo by scoring 7 goals in their third win in three games against the the Kings this season.  Brogan Colquhoun made 25 saves for his first career GOHL shutout and his 8th win of the season to lead the Lincolns to their second win in as many meetings all-time against the Cyclones.

6.  Stratford Warriors (11-3-1-2)
Last weekW 8-4 vs Welland, W 3-1 at Caledonia
In the Warriors’ 4th-ever meeting against Welland — and first since 2017 —  Lucas Minard notched his first career hat trick as Stratford scored a season-high 8 goals to improve to 4-0 all-time vs the Canadians.  Minard scored the game winner against the Corvairs, lifting the Warriors into a tie for for 5th place in the congested Western conference standings.

7.  London Nationals (14-7-0-0)
Last weekW 5-3 at #4 St. Catharines, W 9-1 vs Caledon
The Nationals return to the rankings after the impressive win in St. Catharines where Dante Bertolin (Windsor Spitfires, 2023) made 37 saves, handing the Falcons just their second regulation loss of the season.  Austen Pomerleau had a natural hat trick (his second 3-goal game of the season) in the win over the Bombers.

8.  St. Thomas Stars (12-7-0-1)
Last weekL 2-6 vs #3 Chatham, L 0-3 at Pelham
The Stars had their 5-game win streak snapped with the loss to the Maroons, being held to under 3 goals at home for just the second time this season.  The scoring drought continued in Pelham, where the Stars were shutout in a road game for the first time since a 4-0 loss in Stratford in January of last season.

9.  Fort Erie Meteors (10-6-2-0)
Last weekW 4-3 (OT) vs #4 St. Catharines, L 3-5 at #2 Elmira
Aidan Zimmerman scored 2 goals — including the OT winner (video) — as the Meteors improved to 2-2 in four meetings against the Falcons.  In the loss to the Sugar Kings, Hunter Coley scored 2 power play goals for the Meteors — who were 3 for 25 (12%) with the man advantage in their previous 7 road games.

10.  Port Colborne Sailors (10-6-1-0)
Last weekW 8-2 vs Sarnia
In the win over the Legionnaires, third-year forward Marcus Harris scored 3 goals for his first career GOHL hat trick as the Sailors scored a season-high 8 goals and extended their home point streak to 4 game (3-0-1-0).
This week:  Friday vs #1 Cambridge | Saturday at Caledon
