Redhawks close out 2025 atop the GOHL Power Rankings

1.  Cambridge Redhawks (30-2-0-0)
Last weekL 1-3 at #4 Fort Erie, W 10-1 at Hamilton, W 5-3 vs Brantford
With their top scorer Reid Gammage out serving a suspension, the Redhawks’ 5-game winning streak came to an end with the loss to the surging Meteors.  Led by Sam Savery‘s first career hat trick, Cambridge responded with the convincing win over the Kilty B’s.  The Redhawks improved their perfect home record to 15-0-0-0 with the win over the Titans.

2.  Elmira Sugar Kings (24-4-1-0)
Last week: W 5-3 at #10 Stratford, W 1-0 vs Strathroy
Despite being outshot 43-29 by the Warriors, the Sugar Kings — led by Liam Reid‘s 40-save performance — won their 4th straight and improved their record against ranked opponents this season to 8-2-0-0.  Reid made 33 saves against the Rockets for his league-leading 5th shutout of the season as Elmira extended their home point streak to 12 games (11-0-1-0).

3.  St. Catharines Falcons (25-2-2-0)
Last weekW 6-2 vs Hamilton
Benjamin Arnold had 2 assist to extend his point streak to 9 games as the Falcons extended their point streak to 10 games (9-0-1-0) and their home winning streak to 5 games.  St. Catharines held the Kilty B’s to 18 shots on goal and have won each of the last 8 meetings with Hamilton.  The Falcons are averaging 6.0 goals scored in their last 8 games.  After the holiday break, they welcome the new year with a showdown against the first-place Redhawks.

4.  Fort Erie Meteors (21-6-2-0)
Last weekW 3-1 vs #1 Cambridge, W 7-3 at Brantford, W 4-3 vs Ayr
The Meteors extended their winning streak to 9 games in impressive style by handing the Redhawks just their second loss of the season.  Fort Erie matched a season-high with 7 goals in the win over the Titans, setting a franchise record with their 10th straight win.  They made it 11 in-a-row — and 8 straight at home — by downing the Centennials.

5.  St. Marys Lincolns (21-6-2-0)
Last weekW 5-3 vs Komoka
Callum McAuley had his second straight 3-point game in just his 4th start for St. Marys in the win over the Kings, extending the Lincolns’ point streak to 8 games (7-0-1-0), and their home point streak to 11 games (10-0-1-0).   They have scored 40 goals in their last 7 games (5.7 per game).

6.  Chatham Maroons (24-5-1-2)
Last weekW 8-4 at Waterloo, W 2-1 (SO) vs Waterloo
Alexander Lisi had his first career 5-point game (1G, 4A) as the Maroons were the first visiting team to scored 8 goals in Waterloo since October of 2017.  They won the game with 4 unanswered goals in the third period; all on the power play, giving them a league-leading 41 PPG on the season.   Lisi and Drew Ferenc scored in the shootout against the Siskins to give the Maroons their 500th win in the GOHL.  The Maroons, who have lost 3 straight against ranked opponents, open the new year with a trip to St. Marys to face the #5 Lincolns.

7.  London Nationals (21-10-0-0)
Last weekL 2-4 at LaSalle
In their last game of 2025, the Nationals had their 5-game road win streak ended with the loss in LaSalle — their first loss in three games against the Vipers this season.  Also ended was Austen Pomerleau‘s 10-game point streak.  The Nationals are now in the midst of a 21-day break before their next game on January 7.

8.  Port Colborne Sailors (17-9-3-0)
Last weekW 5-1 vs Welland, W 7-0 at Welland
Hunter Vilanez had 2 goals — including the game-winner — and added an assist to lead the Sailors to the home win over the Canadians.  In the return game in Welland, JD Low made 24 saves for his second shutout of the season as the Sailors improved to 4-0-0-0 against the Canadians this season.

9.  Pelham Panthers (20-12-0-0)
Last weekW 11-1 vs Welland, W 9-2 at Caledon, W 4-1 vs Caledonia
The Panthers began their week with a bang, scoring five goals in a span of 5:18 in the first period and going on to score 11 goals in a game for first time since 2013 in the win over the Canadians.  In his fifth game since joining the team earlier this month, Landon Trethewey tied a franchise record with 4 assists.  Against the Bombers, the Panthers had another scoring spurt — this time 3 goals in 27 seconds — on their way to their 5th straight win.  Logan Snyder stopped 35 of 36 shots against the Corvairs as the Panthers made it 6-in-a-row.

10.  Stratford Warriors (17-6-2-2)
Last weekL 3-5 vs #2 Elmira, L 2-3 (OT) at Strathroy
The Warriors fell to the Sugar Kings in the first of 4 meetings this season between the two clubs.  With the loss, the Warriors are now 5-5-2-0 against ranked teams this season.  Max Wildfong‘s 7-game goal streak came to an end in the loss.  Stratford rallied from down 2-0 to force overtime and salvage a point in the loss to the Rockets.
