In the 100th meeting between the two GOHL clubs since 2007, Gensen Geldart (Saginaw Spirit, 2025) scored his first career hat trick to lead the Maroons (10-2-0-2) to their 6th win in six road games and their 4th straight win overall.
With the win, the defending Sutherland Cup champions improved their GOHL-era record against their rivals from Sarnia to 61-32-7 and claimed sole possession of first place in the Western Conference standings.
Maroons leading scorer Trevor Zanutto had a goal and 2 assists.
Owen Hey and Kael Cooper each scored their first goal of the season for the Sting (0-13-0-0).
