Lucas Minard scored the only goal of the shootout — his league-leading 3rd SO goal of the season — as the Warriors (17-5-1-2) rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the victory over the Cyclones (10-15-1-1) to get back into the win column after two straight losses.
The Cyclones took a 2-0 lead on first period goals from Jack O’Donnell (10) and Trent Houghton (4) before Jonas Schmidt replied late in the opening frame for the Warriors.
Max Wildfong tied the game for Stratford in the last minute of the second period with his 15th goal of the season, extending his goal streak to 7 games.
Erie Otters prospect Gage Hurst (W, 6-0-1) — who earned his first career GOHL shutout in October against the Cyclones — made 26 saves for the Warriors. Cyclones netminder Jack Bree (L, 4-3-1) stopped 39 of 41 shots faced.
