Performers of the Week | Week 6

Western Conference:
Gage Hurst (Stratford Warriors)

2 games:  2-0-0, 2.00 GAA, .931 save%

After suffering a pair of close losses to St. Marys and Chatham to start the season, the Royal Oak, Michigan native has won three straight, including both starts this past week, helping to extend the Warriors’ current win streak to seven games.  A 5th round pick by the Erie Otters in 2025, Gage made 27 saves in a 4-3 win over the Nationals in London on Wednesday, then stopped 27 of 28 shots faced in the Warriors’ 6-1 win over the Listowel Cyclones on Saturday.

Eastern Conference:
Robert Matson (Ayr Centennials)

1 game:  4 goals, 1 assist, 5 points

In his only game of the week, the rookie from Binghamton, New York tied a franchise record with 4 goals and added an assist for a 5-point effort in the Centennials’ 9-4 win over Brantford on Friday.  He is the first rookie to score 4 goals in game for the franchise since Jeremy Kuehn accomplished the feat for the Kitchener Dutchmen in January of 2015.  A 15th round pick by the Guelph Storm in 2025, Robert has points in each of his six games as a Centennial, and his 11 points are third most on the team.
