4-point games from Richter and Hunt propel Maroons to series lead
Dylan Richter scored his league-leading 12th goal of the playoffs and added 3 assists as the Chatham Maroons defeated the St. Catharines 7-3 in front of 1012 fans at Memorial Arena in Chatham to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Richter is now tied with the Falcons’ Cameron Lowe for the GOJHL playoff scoring lead with 28 points.
15-year-old AP call-up Eamon Edgar scored his 5th goal of the playoffs and added 2 assists, as he now leads all scorers in the series with 4 goals and his 6 points are tied for most in the series with Richter.
Connor Hunt also had a 4-point game including his 7th and 8th goals of the playoffs, while Noah Mathieson (4), Ian Lachance (8) and Ewan McChesney (3) also scored for the Maroons (14-8).
Lachance’s goal was his league-leading 6th power play goal of the playoffs. He added an assist and leads all GOJHL rookies in the playoffs with 20 points.
Trent Vaillancourt (2), Ally Mostafaie (7) and Treyson Dewar (8) scored for the Falcons (13-5).

Maroons netminder Gannon Hunter (W, 14-8) made 28 saves. Falcons goalie Hayden Jeffery (L, 13-5) stopped 42 of 49 shots faced, including 22 saves in the first period in which Chatham outshot St. Catharines 24-11.
The Maroons improved their home record in the playoffs to 9-3, while the Falcons had their three-game road winning streak snapped, dropping their away record to 6-3.
The Maroons were 3/6 on the power play and are 4/11 (36.4%) in the series. St. Catharines was 0/6 with the man advantage and are 0/8 in the series. A total of 145 minutes of penalties were assessed to the two teams, including 84 to the Falcons.
Game 4 will take place Thursday night at the Seymour-Hannah S.E.C. in St. Catharines. Game time is 7:00pm.
