Calvin Petrovsky‘s 4th goal of the season midway through the 2nd period was the game winner as the Falcons (12-0-1-0) improved to 5-0-1 in one-goal games and remain 1 point behind the first-place Cambridge Redhawks (13-0-0-0) in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Falcons’ Dillon Atkinson (3) and the Meteors’ Danny Adamo (9) traded first period goals in the first of four meetings between the rivals over the next four weeks.
Jacob Ceranic (North Bay Battalion, 2024) stopped 23 of 24 shots faced to earn his 6th straight win for the Falcons, while Finn Moffett (Niagara IceDogs, 2023) made 27 saves for the Meteors (6-3-2-0).
