The GOHL has released the schedule for the 2026-27 regular season.
The 600-game schedule opens on Thursday, September 10 when the Ayr Centennials will host the Pelham Panthers.
23 of the 24 teams will open their respective 50-game seasons during the 21 games scheduled for the opening week of Sep. 10-13. The Sarnia Legionnaires open their season with a visit to LaSalle on Wednesday, Sep.16.
The 2026 Sutherland Cup champion Cambridge Redhawks will begin defense of their title on Saturday, Sep.12 when they host the Hamilton Steel.
The new Woodstock Navy Vets franchise will play their first-ever GOHL game on Friday, Sep.11 when they visit the Listowel Cyclones. The Navy Vets will host their first home game the following night against the Stratford Warriors.
GOHL play returns to Stoney Creek after a 13-year absence when the Stoney Creek Generals host the Fort Erie Meteors on Tuesday, Sep.15.
With the addition of the Navy Vets, the league now has two 12-team conferences, affording the opportunity to have a fully balanced schedule, with each team facing each conference opponent four times, accounting for 44 of each team’s 50-game schedule.
The other six games for each team will be comprised of inter-conference games featuring match-ups between Eastern and Western conference clubs. The first two of these 72 games will take place on Sunday, Sep.20 when the Komoka Kings host the Caledonia Corvairs.
Friday is the most frequent day of the week with 151 games scheduled, followed by 150 on Saturdays, 141 on Sundays and 80 on Thursdays. The league continues its tradition of playing on Family Day with 11 games scheduled for Monday, February 15.
The season concludes with three games on Sunday, March 7.
