 Redhawks win battle of #1 vs #2 to hold top spot for 14th straight week in GOHL Power Rankings

1.  Cambridge Redhawks (36-5-0-0)
Last weekW 5-3 vs #5 Fort Erie
Kailyn McQueen (Soo Greyhounds, 2024) scored two goals — including the game winner — to lead the Redhawks to their first win in four meetings against the Meteors.  Nathan Gaitens (Kitchener Rangers, 2024) had three assists, and Cameron Fries had a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to 9 games.  The Redhawks’ lead atop the Eastern Conference standings is now 8 points over St. Catharines.

2.  St. Marys Lincolns (30-6-2-0)
Last weekW 5-1 at Hamilton, W 4-1 vs #7 London, W 3-0 at Waterloo
In the fifth-ever meeting between the St. Marys and Hamilton franchises, Chase MacQueen-Spence had three assists giving him 184 career points — a new Lincolns franchise record — and Owen Voortman scored two goals, including the game winner and added an assist to reach 150 points as a Lincoln.  Voortman again scored twice and Lincoln Moore‘s 100th career GOHL point was the game winner against the Nationals as the Lincolns claimed first place in the Western Conference standings and clinched a playoff berth with their 15th straight home win.  Colby Booth-Housego made 27 saves against the Warriors for his 9th career shutout, leading the Lincolns
to their 16th straight win.  In their last four games, St. Marys has allowed a total of 2 goals.

3.  St. Catharines Falcons (31-5-2-0)
Last week: W 6-1 vs Brantford, W 4-2 at #9 Pelham
Lucas Kisil scored twice — his first goals since November — in the win over the Titans, securing the Falcons’ 17th consecutive 30-win season.  In the win over the Panthers, Calvin Petrovsky scored the game winner and added an assist, and the Falcons had 50+ shots on goal for the 5th time this season.  St. Catharines has yet to lose in regulation on the road this season, setting a new franchise record with points in 19 straight away games (the second longest such streak in GOHL history).

4.  Elmira Sugar Kings (29-6-2-0)
Last week: W 7-4 at Komoka, W 5-2 vs #8 Stratford
The Sugar Kings outscored the Kings 4-1 in the third period enroute to their third straight win.  Brendan Gerber (London Knights, 2023) notched his third career hat trick and added an assist, and Kyle Morey had a goal and 4 assists for his first career 5-point game.  Liam Reid made a season-high 41 saves against the Warriors as the Sugar Kings clinched a playoff berth with their 4th straight win.  Elmira is now 9-4 against ranked opponents this season.

5.  Fort Erie Meteors (29-7-2-0)
Last weekW 5-2 at Ayr, L 3-5 at #1 Cambridge
In the win over the Centennials, Eric Nicholson (Kitchener Rangers, 2025) had his first career two-goal game and added an assist  and Rafael Tremblay made 17 saves to improve to 5-0 as a Meteor.  Fort Erie’s franchise record win streak was ended at 19 (tied for 5th longest in GOHL history) with the loss to the Redhawks.  Sam Tonelli had a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to 13 games, tying teammate Danny Adamo for the longest active streak and the third longest overall in the GOHL this season.

6.  Chatham Maroons (28-8-2-3)
Last week: W 9-1 at Sarnia, W 6-1 vs Strathroy
Ewan McChesney (North Bay Battalion, 2023) extended his point streak to five games with his 17th goal and 3 assists for his first career 4-point game in the win over the Legionnaires.  Trade deadline acquisition Matthew Crawford scored two goals and added an assist in his sixth game as a Maroon as Chatham won their seventh straight meeting with the Rockets.  With the two wins, the Maroons clinched a playoff berth, though they surrendered their hold on first place in the Western Conference standings.

7.  London Nationals (26-12-1-0)
Last weekW 3-2 vs #8 Stratford, L 1-4 at #2 St. Marys
With the win against the Warriors, the Nationals improved their record in one-goal games to 8-2-1-0 and took the season series against Stratford 3-1.  Raiden Doxtator (Peterborough Petes, 2024) scored the only goal against the Lincolns, as London were held to a single goal in each of their two losses in St. Marys this season.

8.  Stratford Warriors (24-9-2-2)
Last weekL 2-3 at #7 London, W 5-1 vs Komoka, L 2-5 at #4 Elmira
After scoring 27 goals in their previous four road games, the Warriors were held to two in the loss in London.  Gage Hurst (Erie Otters, 2025) made 17 saves against the Kings to improve his record 10-0-1-1, as Stratford improved their home record to 14-3-1-0.  With the loss to the Sugar Kings, the Warriors are now 6-8-2-0 against ranked opponents, including losses in their last three such games.

9.  Pelham Panthers (25-14-0-1)
Last week: W L 2-4 vs #3 St. Catharines
The Panthers had their 5-game point streak halted with the loss to the Falcons.  Lucas Peever had an assist to extend his point streak to 11 games.  With a meeting with Port Colborne coming up on Saturday, Pelham leads the Sailors by four points in the battle for 4th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

10.  Port Colborne Sailors (22-12-3-0)

The Sailors are in a 10-day break before their next game February 5th in Ayr.
