#1 Cambridge Redhawks at
Hamilton Kilty B’s

A packed Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena in Hamilton will be the setting as the Kilty B’s host their School Day game against the Redhawks.

This will be the second of five meetings this season between these two Eastern Conference teams.  The Redhawks set a franchise record with their 12th consecutive win when Kyler Morgan scored the OT winner (video) in a 4-3 win in Hamilton on Oct.16.  That was the third of four overtime wins for Cambridge this season (tied with London for most in the league), and it was their third OT win over the Kilty B’s in the last 8 meetings between the two teams.

The two clubs will face each other three times over the span of 9 days in February.

This will be the second School Day morning start for the Redhawks in as many days.  They had their 5-game winning streak snapped in a 3-1 loss in Fort Erie in the Meteors’ School Day game on Wednesday.  The Redhawks remain atop the Eastern Conference standings, six points ahead of the second place St. Catharines Falcons.

The Kilty B’s enter the game having lost three straight and are currently tied with Caledonia for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

This game features two clubs at opposite ends of the GOHL’s goal-scoring spectrum.

The high-powered Redhawks are scoring a league-best 5.6 goals per game with a lineup featuring seven players with 10 or more goals, led by the league’s scoring leader, Reid Gammage with 22.  Sam Savery‘s 15 goals are tied for the most among GOHL rookies, while Alexander Forrest (Kitchener Rangers, 2025) leads all GOHL defencemen with 10 goals.

Hamilton are averaging 2.2 goals per game. Their top two goal scorers — Kyle Ferguson and Cooper Reid — each have 9 goals on the season.
