Falcons up to #2, Sailors and Warriors return in GOHL Power Rankings

1.  Cambridge Redhawks (19-0-0-0)
Last weekW 8-3 at Caledon, W 3-1 vs Pelham
The Redhawks scored 4 second period goals in the win over the Bombers, improving their goal margin in middle frame to 39-8 for the season.  GOHL scoring leader Reid Gammage led Cambridge to their 19th straight win, scoring his 15th and 16th goals of the season — including the game winner — in the victory over the Panthers.  The 19-game win streak is tied for the 4th longest in GOHL history, matching the 2016-17 Caledonia Corvairs.

2.  St. Catharines Falcons (16-1-1-0)
Last weekW 3-2 (OT) vs #9 Port Colborne, W 10-1 at Caledon
The Falcons earned yet another one-goal victory — their 7th of the season — with Dillon Atkinson scoring the overtime winner (video) over the Sailors.  In Caledon, they extended their road win streak to 7 by scoring a season-high 10 goals — the most they have scored in a road game since a 10-1 win in Fort Erie on Jan.5, 2019.  Atkinson tied a franchise record with 4 goals and now has 9 goals this season, already surpassing the 8 he scored in 48 games in 2024-25.

3.  Elmira Sugar Kings (15-2-1-0)
Last weekW 7-2 at Sarnia, L 4-5 (OT) vs LaSalle
In the win over the Legionnaires, the Sugar Kings scored first for the 14th time in 16 games and Lucas Nutting (Flint Firebirds, 2025) recorded his first career GOHL hat trick.  Against LaSalle, Kyle Morey (Owen Sound Attack, 2021) scored to extend his goal streak to 6 games as Elmira rallied from a 4-1 third period deficit to force overtime,  where the Vipers ended the Sugar Kings’ 11-game win streak.

4.  Chatham Maroons (14-2-1-2)
Last weekW 7-4 at London, L 3-4 (OT) at #8 Stratford, W 3-2 vs Listowel
In the win over the Nationals, Trevor Zanutto scored in his 6th straight game, the Maroons scored 6 goals for the 4th straight game, they won their 7th straight road game and have now won in each of their last 4 visits to London.  A pair of Saginaw Spirit draft picks led the way against the Cyclones.  Netminder Samuel DiBlasi (Saginaw, 2023) made a season-high 43 saves and Brody Najim (2024) scored in his second game as a Maroon since being acquired from the Spirit last week.

5.  St. Thomas Stars (12-5-0-1)
Last weekW 3-2 at LaSalle, W 6-4 vs Strathroy, W 7-3 vs London
In LaSalle, the Stars rallied from a 2-0 with 3 goals in the last 8 minutes of the game (video), including the winner from Rory Savage (Sudbury Wolves, 2023) with 12 seconds on the clock (video) for their 3rd straight win.  They made it 4-in-a-row with another come-from-behind win, scoring 4 unanswered goals after trailing the Rockets 3-1.  No rally required against the Nationals, where the Stars raced out to a 4-1 lead and cruised to their 5th straight victory and first win against London in over two years.

6.  St. Marys Lincolns (12-5-1-0)
Last weekW 4-2 vs #10 Waterloo, L 0-2 at #10 Waterloo
In the front end of the home-and-home against the Warriors on Friday, Chase MacQueen-Spence (North Bay Battalion, 2021) scored his 12th career game-winner midway through the 3rd period to give the Lincolns their 5th straight home win, extending their overall point streak to 5 games (4-0-0-1).  In the return match-up in Waterloo, the Lincolns suffered their first shutout loss since a 3-0 defeat in Chatham on Nov.26, 2023 — a span of 87 games.

7.  Fort Erie Meteors (9-5-2-0)
Last weekW 4-1 vs Caledonia
In their only game of the week, the Meteors earned their first win against the Corvairs in three meetings this season, outshooting Caledonia 43-22 in front of a season-high crowd of 1325 at the Fort Erie Leisureplex.  It doesn’t get easier for the Meteors, who will face two of the top 3 ranked teams in the next week.

8.  Stratford Warriors (9-3-1-2)
Last weekW 4-3 vs #4 Chatham, W 5-3 at Komoka
After missing 6 games, Jonas Schmidt‘s return to the Warriors lineup had a big impact.  The Owen Sound Attack draft pick scored 2 goals, including the OT winner (video) for his 100th career GOHL point in the win over the Maroons to lead Stratford to their 6th straight home win.

9.  Port Colborne Sailors (9-6-1-0)
Last weekL 2-3 (OT) vs #2 St. Catharines, W 4-2 at Welland
The Sailors jumped out to a 2-0 lead against the 2nd-ranked Falcons, but had to settle for a single point in the overtime loss.  In the win over the Canadians, Port Colborne held a 48-25 advantage in shots, but surrendered a late 2-1 lead before Cole Hodgson scored the winner — his second goal of the game.

10.  Waterloo Warriors (9-4-3-1)
Last weekL 2-4 at #6 St. Marys, W 2-0 vs #6 St. Marys
The Warriors return to the rankings after splitting a home-and-home with the 6th-ranked Lincolns.  First-year netminder Brock Grein made 37 saves for his 7th win of the season and first career GOHL shutout, as the Warriors moved into 6th place in the Western conference standings, one point ahead of Stratford, with the Warriors having played two fewer games.
This week:  Thursday at Ayr | Sunday vs #1 Cambridge


Dropping out of Top 10:  London Nationals (#6), Pelham Panthers (#10)
