The rookie forward from Vaughan had a goal and an assist in Wednesday’s 7-3 loss to Stratford, then scored a goal in Friday’s 5-2 loss in St. Thomas. He recorded his first career hat trick and added an assist in the Vipers’ 12-3 win over Sarnia on Sunday. All three goals against the Legionnaires were on the power play and he now leads all GOHL rookies with 8 power play goals. Michael’s 21 points are the most among Vipers rookies.

PJ Alexander (Port Colborne Sailors)

The 3rd-year forward from Richmond Hill scored a shorthanded goal and his power play goal was the game winner as part of a career-high 5-point effort in Friday’s 6-4 win over the Centennials. The Sailors captain assisted on the game tying goal in Saturday’s 3-2 overtime win against Caledonia. PJ leads the Sailors in points (41), and power play points (12) and his 3 shorthanded goals are tied for second most in the league. This is the second time he has earned Performer of the Week honours this season.
